There are significant portions of the population who aren't able to receive a positive user experience on the web. Just recently, the United States Supreme Court rejected an appeal from Domino's Pizza, leaving the pizza giant to face a lawsuit because their website and mobile app does not comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Building proper websites is simply the right thing to do. We should be removing barriers and providing the best user experiences. It may take extra design, development, craftsmanship, more hours, or a different strategy but it is worth it because people matter.

What steps can you take?

  • Provide text alternatives for images and other non-text content elements
  • Provide captions and descriptions for images and other media
  • Create portable content that can be presented in other mediums without losing context
  • Make your website work on all devices
  • Allow for keyboard controls
  • Provide helpful content
  • Be a kind human

Real Client Review

The Antistatic team exceeded our expectations. Their well-oiled process, great design skills and attention to detail leave nothing to be desired. We appreciated their professional input (and patience) as we re-visited some of our processes. They kept the project on schedule while not rushing complicated decisions and delivered a website that showcases our brand. I would definitely recommend Antistatic.
