Heritage Society of Austin was looking for a fresh look during at a challenging time in their organization. They were navigating a name change, rebranding as Preservation Austin, and launching a big campaign to promote their organization. Founded in 1953, they protect the diverse architectural and cultural heritage of the greater Austin community. For 60 years, they have been Austin’s voice for the preservation of historic buildings and places.
With Austin's unique cultural heritage, architectural legacy, and vibrant tech centers, Preservation Austin wanted their new website to communicate the foundational things that makes Austin great.
Through our strategy sessions, we outlined an information architecture and user interface wireframes for the new website. With these strategy documents in place, we had the foundation to begin the visual design. Through the polished design process, we created several concepts, refined these to perfection and partnered with our friends at EECoder for the development process. The website was built on the ExpressionEngine content management system allowing the staff to maintain and grow the website.
